A suite of training courses specifically developed for regulatory professionals and utility management staff
This course is targeted for to new regulatory employees joining the organization or department, or Management staff seeking to increase their understanding of economic regulation.
At the management level of a utility, all leaders should have an integrated understanding of the utility business model regardless of whether they actively participate in regulatory activities. This course will facilitate that knowledge transfer. For new regulatory staff, this course provides an introduction to their new world and is just the beginning of their required learning.
This course is targeted at regulatory staff that have completed 101, or any staff participating in an upcoming rate application. This course provides an interactive, end-to-end education of the core concepts and processes underpinning utility rate applications, and is a must have for staff preparing to file Cost of Service or similar applications to their regulator.
Courses in the 300 Series are developed specifically for practitioners doing the work to prepare and defend rate applications, or require technical understanding of the highlighted topic. It is expected these staff have strong business and/or regulatory foundations, or have completed 101 and 201. 301a focuses on the development of a Distribution System Plan for submission with a Cost of Service or Custom IR application to the Ontario Energy Board.
